Amid Western Drought, Snake River Peaks Early

For the past few weeks, water managers, hydrologists and river runners, have been watching flows on the Snake River and its tributaries to see if peak natural flows have come and gone.
River rubberneckers are ready to declare that the Snake River and its tributaries have almost certainly peaked for the season, after holding out for last weekend’s rainy weather.
