Jacksonites’ water rates are rising by 25% starting today, part of the town’s attempt to pay for expensive projects, keep up with rising costs and build up the Jackson’s water savings.
The town has a tiered water rate system, meaning users pay more on a per-gallon basis if they use drastically more water. The town has been hoping to educate residents on water conservation, particularly for sprinklers.
