Residents of a 72-home mobile park overlooking the Snake River are now paying double the lot rent they’d been paying in April, for infrastructure upgrades that are still on hold.
Owners Mastorakos, Quinones and Ware justified the rent hikes by saying they planned to connect to the Town of Jackson’s wastewater treatment plant using an existing sewer line along Highway 89. Connecting would be costly, and Mastorakos said the park needed to raise rents to budget for the project over time.
Mastorakos and his business partners are now waiting and watching to see if management of that sewer line soon may change hands.
