Health Department Pushes Free PFAS Testing

The Teton County Department of Health encourages operators of local water systems, including those that serve private subdivisions, to test their water for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, chemicals better known as “PFAS.”

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality has launched a free PFAS in Drinking Water Monitoring Assistance Program. The department encourages public water systems — systems that provide water to 15 or more connections or 25 or more people daily for at least 60 days a year — to participate.
