River health should be priority like agriculture

Like many, I was shocked earlier this summer when – after a year with abundant moisture – word went out that the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation was not going to release enough water from Jackson Lake to maintain the minimum flow required to sustain fish in the Oxbow. The issue eventually was resolved and the Oxbow did not dry up, but the whole debacle was eye opening.
