Town Council Passes Emergency Sprinkler Ordinance

The Jackson Town Council unanimously passed an ordinance Monday night regulating sprinkler use in town. The ordinance calls for a reduction in water usage during peak times in the night, for all properties connected to the town’s public water system, starting today, July 21.

Properties with sprinkler systems that can be seasonally adjusted have been asked to reduce lawn watering by 50%. Properties that cannot adjust their sprinkler system by date are asked to water their lawn every other day.
