What We Do

This is a critical time for water quality planning in Teton County.

Although POWJH has been successful in advocating for Teton County to approve the Water Quality Management Plan, it is a 20-year endeavor. We must continue to advocate to implement the immediate actions addressed in the plan. The time to act is now.

POWJH is taking solutions-oriented action.

POWJH is taking direct and decisive actions among our staff, partners, community, and elected officials in defense of clean water and a healthy ecosystem. Our science-based and collaborative approach to advocacy, community solutions, and education is resulting in real impacts to protect, preserve and enhance water quality for Teton County, Wyoming.

Community Solutions

POWJH works together with the community to protect the water resources that make Jackson Hole a desirable place to live and visit. We do this by implement programs for safe drinking water, engaging with the community test and protect their drinking water, advocating for infrastructure improvements, and fostering collaborative action amongst NGOs, elected officials, state and federal agencies, funders, and service providers.

Community Projects

Education and Outreach

POWJH works to inform and inspire our community to be stewards of the Snake River Headwaters. Every day, we are creating social change by discussing water quality solutions and activating residents and visitors to help improve water quality. We achieve this through educational classroom and field-based watershed science programs, outreach events, public forums, workshops, and collaborative stakeholder groups.
